清时太仓市人，至孝，草书有毛宜信之风，而且字厚重，当时人都称赞他的书法是有福有德。有《刘湄书画记》。

［清］字琢岩，江苏太仓人。性至孝，服劳供亲，不离左右。草书得信天翁科（毛宜信）貌，又加厚重，咸谓其极有福德书也。
