长滩在北纬10度55分—11度09分，东经114度37分到114度49分范围内。长约32公里，宽约6公里，小于30米深的面积约170平方公里。

位于道明群礁东北部，是一包括 蒙自礁在内的东北—西南走向的长条形浅滩，故名长滩。 1983年公布长滩为标准名称。
