《新华报》于1942年7月1日创刊，为四开四版五日刊，由陈毅兼任社长，陈修良、王守椿任正副总编辑。不久，因日伪二次大"扫荡"，军部转移去淮南盱眙县黄花塘，《新华报》随之停刊。
