纬四路，该街原是一片田野。1904年（清光绪三十年）开辟商埠时，兴建马路。

按商埠街道网的规划，由东向西排列命名为纬四路，该路经一路至经七路一段于1914年建成。经七路之南于日伪时期建成，曾名新民西二路。济南市解放前夕《全市街道展宽表》称纬四路。
